Fertinex-F is a highly purified follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) used in fertility treatments. 

Introduction of Fertinex-F Tablet:

Fertinex (urofollitropin) is a prescription gonadotropin medication, typically administered as a subcutaneous injection. It is a purified form of human follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) extracted from the urine of postmenopausal women. It is used to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, a process essential for ovulation induction and Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART), such as IVF.

Ø  Ovulation Induction (OI): Induces egg development in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or those who have not responded to clomiphene citrate.

Ingredients of Fertinex-F Tablet:

Ø  Active Ingredient: Urofollitropin (highly purified human follicle-stimulating hormone - FSH).

Ø  Other Ingredients: Contains lactose in a sterile, lyophilized form, and may be adjusted with 0.1 M hydrochloric acid and/or 0.1 M sodium hydroxide for pH balance. 

Usage Instructions of Fertinex-F Tablet:

Fertinex is administered as a subcutaneous injection, typically in the abdomen or thigh. Dosage is determined individually based on the patient's response and requires close monitoring with blood tests and vaginal ultrasounds to track follicle growth. Treatment duration continues until sufficient follicular development is achieved. 

Side Effects of Fertinex-F Tablet:

Common side effects include headache, abdominal discomfort, nausea, injection site reactions, and breast tenderness. Serious side effects requiring immediate medical attention include Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), blood clots, ovarian torsion, and an increased risk of multiple pregnancies.
